The boiler still exists and is now in Jeff Rowberry's Collection in Blenheim.

Double tee rims on the front wheels are unusual.

The owners at the time of the picture would most definitely be Win Bros of Dovedale, not far from Stanley Brook where the family names mentioned lived. They are cutting chaff. This dates it 1906-1918.

Pram, Fowler 6760 traction engine and straw mill at Stanley Brook

Description

DescriptionMrs Benjamin Wilkinson stands behind a highly decorative perambulator (or pram) that holds two children. Beside her is another woman, and behind them is a man working on a large farm machine, or straw mill.

In the background is a group of men standing beside a Fowler traction engine, or engine driver. It has double tee rims on the front wheels. The men include Ern Thorn, Walter Thorn, and Charlie Fenemor. At the time the engine was owned by Win Bros. of Dovedale.

The traction engine has a belt running between it and the other machine, and a crop, is being processed through the machine. There are two piles beneath the machine, one looks fine, and the other looks bulky. There is a large haystack is between the two pieces of machinery.
