    Description
First NameMinnieLast NameWearingDescriptionMini was one of 12 (?) children in the Bateup family. Her mother's maiden name was Haycock, her father was born in Surrey.
Her eldest brother Frank became a Methodist Minister. Another brother Herbert looked after an orphanage during the war years with his wife who was a nurse.
Mini got a job at May's store selling hats and was the first woman in Richmond to have her hair cut short.
When she was 24 Mini married Stanley Wearing, who was a widower with three children. They later had a son. Stan sold the store he owned and the family moved to a farm near Snowden's Bush. They later moved to town and bough the tuck-shop diary by Nelson College.
