    That's a curious one. The Aorere River is nowhere near Tākaka; it flows into the sea at Collingwood. However, neither Google Maps nor TOTS Maps knows an Apo Place in Golden Bay, but there is one in Motueka. It's a short road, nowhere near a river, and certainly not the Aorere.
    If there is in fact an Apo Place in the Aorere Valley, would that possibly be in relation to Appos Creek and Appos Flat? If so, those features are apparently named after the Nelsonian Appo Hocton, but as Mike Johnston points out in his scholarly book 'Mohua Gold' points out that the area is named after the Sri Lankan hairdresser Jacobus Appoo, i.e. the place names are arguably misspelled.
    And the next entry is for Apo Way in Motueka. As stated above, the street in Motueka is Apo Place (not Way).
