The Land of The Dragon

Description

DescriptionThe red dragon is symbolic with the land of Wales. I moved to Wales at the age of 5, my father being a Londoner and my mother Welsh. Thus I was brought up and went to school in South Wales in the ex-industrial town of Neath, my mountain being the Brecon Beacons and my river Afan Nedd or the River Neath. The river flows into the Bristol channel where I learnt surf life saving. It was this that brought me to New Zealand with the Welsh Ladies Surf Life Saving team in 1981. I returned to live in 1989 with my husband and two very young children, settling in Thames. We have lived in Richmond for just three and a half years, moving from Omokora.
